You are looking at a 2025 Gibson Les Paul Custom 7A Quilt Top finished in Cobra, a dark, moody, high-gloss shade that looks like graphite, gunmetal, and luxury stealth wealth all got together and agreed to show off quietly. It’s not green, not silver, not black—just dangerously cool. Under light, the quilt top ripples like forged metal that somehow learned how to be wood. Subtle. Menacing. Expensive-looking on purpose.
At 7.8 lbs (chambered), she’s got that perfect “serious but not chiropractor-required” feel. The medium rounded neck—measuring .839″ at the 1st fret and .971″ at the 12th—is incredibly comfortable… the kind of neck that makes your hand settle in immediately and your wallet pretend this is a totally reasonable decision.
Plug it in and you get everything you want from a proper Custom: thick, articulate, piano-like lows, smooth highs, and just enough bite to remind you who’s in charge.
