2024 Fender Telecaster ’54 Custom Shop Closet Classic 1954 Reissue ~ Faded Nocaster Blonde

This Tele looks like it spent the last 70 years doing exactly what many of us aspire to do: absolutely nothing strenuous.😄 Fender’s Custom Shop took a ’54 Tele recipe, gave it a gorgeous Faded Nocaster Blonde lacquer finish, added just enough Closet Classic checking and aging to convince your buddies you discovered it behind Grandpa’s winter coats, and somehow managed to do it without the vintage price tag requiring a second mortgage.

And underneath all that beautifully convincing old-guitar attitude is one heck of a Tele: lightweight ash body, chunky 1954 “U” maple neck, compound-radius maple fingerboard and a pair of Hand-Wound Loaded ’51 Nocaster pickups. In other words, it looks old, feels old, sounds appropriately rude…and thankfully nobody actually spent 70 years spilling beer on it.

Condition & Included Items

Born on July 12th, 2024, this Tele is in excellent Closet Classic condition. Of course, explaining the condition of a Closet Classic is always entertaining: “Yes, there are finish checks. Yes, there’s wear. Yes, Fender put it there. No, I’m not giving you $800 off because you found one.” 😂 There is a small area of finish wear/chipping near the neck pocket as pictured, along with the intentional checking, aging and wear associated with Fender’s Closet Classic treatment. The black pickguard also shows  pick-scratches.

Included is the original Fender Custom Shop tweed hardshell case, case candy, and the Fender Custom Shop leather portfolio containing the Certificate of Authenticity and original Shop Floor Traveler.

It’s a killer ’54-style Tele that gives you the look and feel of a guitar that survived Eisenhower, Elvis, Woodstock and disco — without requiring you to explain to your wife why there’s suddenly a $40,000 charge on the credit card.
