This is a 2008 Lowden O-32, and George Lowden had one simple goal: make people forget they were listening to a guitar and start wondering where the piano hidden inside the body is.

One strum and you’ll understand why so many players become lifelong Lowden addicts. The sustain is ridiculous, the bass sounds like it pays property taxes, and every note blooms into a chorus of overtones that politely asks your other acoustics to leave the room.

Condition

Born on October 14, 2008, this Lowden has clearly spent its life being admired more than  played. She remains in Excellent condition with only honest signs of careful playing. There are a few light pick marks and surface scratches on the top, and on the transparent pick-guard,  that simply confirms someone actually enjoyed owning one of the world’s finest hand-built acoustics. There are no cracks, no structural issues, no surprises, and everything functions exactly as it should. The ebony fingerboard is exceptionally clean, the rosewood back and sides are gorgeous, and the satin finish has aged beautifully.

Lowden doesn’t really compete with those guitars—it simply sounds like it skipped the meeting where everyone agreed what an acoustic guitar was supposed to sound like.
