You’re looking at a 1977 Gibson Les Paul Standard with a Natural Blonde finish on a subtly flamed maple top, bound rosewood fretboard, and the original late-70s Gibson humbuckers! This one screams “classic rock machine” from the Norlin era—heavy enough to anchor a battleship at 10.2 pounds, but with sustain so long you could strike a chord, go make a sandwich, and come back to still hear it ringing. Gibson stamped the headstock as a “SECOND” back in the day, which was their way of saying, “Eh, it’s not quite Miss America… more like Miss Texas runner-up.” Nearly five decades later, that’s a moot point—it’s got honest play wear, killer vibe, and mojo that money can’t fake.
She’s otherwise all original except we ditched the flimsy plastic jack plate (seriously, why did Gibson think that was a good idea?) and upgraded it to a proper metal one. We also threw on a fresh set of 10–46s, so she’s dialed in and ready to melt faces.

She was born in 1977 and is in very good condition for her age. There’s some buckle rash on the back (a badge of honor), a bit of finish wear along the edge of the neck, and the usual tiny dings you’d expect on a guitar that’s survived disco, hair metal, grunge, and everything in between. The original Gibson “chainsaw” case with blue interior is included, and it’s super clean overall—with all latches present (though the middle latch is more for decoration at this point).
Whoever takes this baby home is not just buying a guitar—they’re inheriting nearly 50 years of rock ‘n’ roll DNA. Crank it up, and you’ll see why this era of Les Pauls is loved: it’s got the punch, the sustain, and the swagger. Whoever takes this one home is going to be completely STOKED!
LET’S GO!!
